Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Finance for the Public Housing Agency is responsible for managing staff functions to establish and maintain consistent application of
processes and procedures in the following areas: accounting, financial controls, budgeting, financial reporting, procurement and contracting, information technology and management systems. The Director of Finance will manage all aspects of the Housing Authority’s financial programs in accordance with HUD rules and regulations. The function of this position also involves responsibility for developing, coordinating, and implementing financial policies, procedures, and plans as well as the development, coordination, and maintenance of a comprehensive system for the analysis, evaluation, and synthesis of financial data to provide management with effective financial control. The Director shall demonstrate strong cognitive ability in assessing and evaluating problems. Apply all rules and regulations to provide order, fairness and equality. Contribute towards the achievement of the Authority’s goals and objectives.
